Subjects taught at the primary level include English, Hindi, Maths, Conversation, General Awareness and Value Education. All the subjects are taught with the help Audio Visual Aids and emphasis on writing, speaking, listening, reading, understanding. Here the focus is on developing an interest in the school and its activities.
Subject taught and the curriculum is based on complete CBSE pattern. It is a combination of languages, Science, Social Studies, General Knowledge, Mathematics and encompasses what we believe a student should aware of at his/her age. We have formulated our own syllabus for General Awareness and Art & Craft with an emphasis on activity-based learning. These activities include the use of audio-visual aids, map work, experiments, field trips, projects and group discussions. These activities are followed by regular interactions.
All the students at this stage are trained to face the world outside the school. The curriculum here includes continuous grooming of the personalities. We encourage them to become confident human being who can take proper decisions independently and to understand their responsibilities as the citizens of the world. Before passing out from the school each student is motivated to take a direction in life and choose a career where he or she can excel and bring pride not only to the family but to the nation as a whole.
The school believes in doing all the teaching work during school hours only till primary level and no home work is given. At the end of every day, one period is assigned where revision work is completed under the supervision of the class teachers. Students who need extra tutorials are coached free of cost. After school hours, all children are encouraged to spend their free time reading and improving their language skills.
A part from the theory covered in computer and science subjects, students are given extensive practical training. This includes preparing of project files of many topics. Project files are prepared individually as well as in group. Marks and points are allotted on these files.
No formal tests are conducted for the primary section. After every topic a review is done, and the performance of the student is noticed. The aim is to ensure that the students have understood course work and do not resort to root learning. Thus, the students are continuously assessed and all subject teachers give a detailed report at end of every term. The class teacher, head of junior section and the headmaster continuously monitor each child's performance. Commendations are issued on a daily basis, weekly basis to encourage the children to excel in academics. Certificates and medals are awarded regularly to the students at top 5 positions and also at end of the year to the most promising students of each class.
Associations:-
To indicate the understanding of various aspects and spheres of life the school appoints students for various associations. The appointment is done based on the caliber and interest of the students. The associations are as follows:

Jeevan Jyoti Public School offers its students a chance to learn and excel in a wide variety of sport related activities. These include both indoor and outdoor sports. Athletics, Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball , Throw ball, Gymnastics, Carom and Chess. A part from these games students are also trained for Karate and Tai-kwando. Each Activity is directed towards developing sportsman spirit and enchancing the stamina of the young heroes. Throughout the year children are involved in sports activities as per their choice and caliber and house wise competitions are also held from time to time . In the academic year 2015-16 Red House performed well and got first position, Green House Second position , Blue House Third and Yellow House fourth position . The performance of each house is assessed according to their over all performance which includes scholastic and co-scholastic activities. The school celebrates all national and religious festivals with great zeal and enthusiasm . Many cultural activities and annual function is organized to provide the students a platform for displaying their talents in the field of dance, drama and music. Keeping ourselves connected to cultural activities bring us closer to our inner selves. Creative pursuits give us a sense of satisfaction, pleasure and confidence. Music,dance, drama releases our stress and makes us a happy and pleasant human being. These activities are a sure shot way to happiness.
